LONG BEACH, Calif. – Howard CDM’s recently completed project EcoHouse, a daycare and preschool facility that serves infants and children affected by homelessness, has been selected to receive the Merit Award for Sustainable Sites at United States Green Building Council – Los Angeles Chapter’s 6th Annual Sustainable Innovation Awards.

WASHINGTON (October 19, 2016) – For the first time since the summer of 2012, the Architecture Billings Index (ABI) posted consecutive months of a decline in demand for design services. As a leading economic indicator of construction activity, the ABI reflects the approximate nine to twelve month lead time between architecture billings and construction spending.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (October 18, 2016) — TRI (The Refractories Institute) each year awards academic scholarships to exemplary students enrolled in college-level educational programs that relate to refractory sciences. In late September, at the organization’s committee meeting in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, two award recipients were announced: Anna Mattione, from Missouri University of Science and Technology, and Sankalp Kota, from Drexel University.
