(October 23, 2017) – The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is releasing the second part of the once-in-a-decade 2017 edition of the A201, design-bid-build family of documents for a total of 34 newly revised 2017 documents. WASHINGTON – The California Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board (OSHSB) unanimously voted to adopt the Iron Workers’ (IW) comprehensive safety standard updates for reinforcing steel and post-tensioning activities. California is the first state-approved OSHA plan to work with the IW to reform existing safety standards.

NEW YORK (October 6, 2017) – The Dodge Momentum Index fell in September, moving 8.4 percent lower to 116.4 from the revised August reading of 127.1. The Momentum Index is a monthly measure of the first (or initial) report for nonresidential building projects in planning, which have been shown to lead construction spending for nonresidential buildings by a full year. Both components of the Momentum Index declined in September.
