(October 10, 2017) – Nearly 150 HDR professionals live and work in Los Angeles County. In fact, the firm’s architecture and engineering staff recently took over an entire floor—28,000 square feet—at Two California Plaza in the Bunker Hill District of downtown Los Angeles.

HDR’s new office reflects the firm’s strong commitment to connect and improve lives through the design of the built environment, clean water and transportation projects throughout Los Angeles. The firm’s current projects include: Link Union Station; the Emergency Security Operations Center; the I-605/SR-60 interchange; the City of Los Angeles’ Sidewalk Repair Program; Kaiser Permanente Chino Grand Medical Office Building; Cedars-Sinai Marina Del Rey Hospital; and Huntington Memorial Hospital. HDR also designed the award-winning Martin Luther King Jr. Outpatient Center, which has reestablished the campus as a healthcare leader in the Los Angeles community.

Leading HDR’s architecture studio in Los Angeles is Usman Tariq, the new managing principal. Leading the engineering practice in Los Angeles is Kip Field, southern California area manager.
