FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (Jan. 12, 2015)—The American Concrete Institute (ACI) will be conducting a Press Conference at World of Concrete (WOC) on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, to announce the launch of ACI University and a new Masonry Testing Technician Certification Program. The press conference will take place at 8:00 a.m. ACI University will be a global, online learning resource, providing on-demand access to a wide range of topics on concrete materials, design and construction. The event, held in Room N251 at the convention center, is open to all members of the media and WOC attendees.
Participants at the conference will also talk about the new Masonry Testing Technician Certification. William E. Rushing, ACI President, Frances Griffith, University of Arkansas and John Nehasil, ACI Managing Director of Certification, will present information and answer questions. The ACI will hold another event to launch the new ACI University and Masonry Testing Technician Certification. This event will be hosted at the ACI booth at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3. On Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 11:00 a.m., ACI will hold a “Formwork Q&A" with David Johnston, author of “Formwork for Concrete.” This session will be held at the ACI booth.
