ALPHARETTA, GA. (March 12, 2012) – Honda Power Equipment announced the continuation of its annual sponsorship agreement with Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama for the 2012/2013 race season.  For the third year in a row, Honda’s Super Quiet Series of portable generators will remain as the track’s ‘Official Generator’, powering racing activities throughout the season.  Talladega Superspeedway has played a major role in the development of many careers of NASCAR® drivers as they built reputations for setting records and taking wins at one of the largest, fastest and most competitive tracks on the circuit.

As an official sponsor, Honda Generators will continue to host an interactive tailgating exhibit during each NASCAR® race in the Corporate Sponsor Fan Zone area at Talladega throughout the season.  In addition, Honda representatives will be on hand to answer questions and provide support to the race teams, fans, vendors and recreational vehicles that rely upon generator power at each race.

“Providing Honda generators to Talladega Superspeedway allows Honda Power Equipment and its associates to continue our alliance and partnership while experiencing the excitement of Talladega racing,” said Issaac Gooden, marketing manager, Honda Power Equipment.  “We are very pleased to again be supplying racing teams and fans with durable, quiet and dependable power now and in the future.”

Honda Power Equipment markets a complete line of generators for commercial and consumer applications. Lightweight, compact Honda generators produce between 1,000 and 10,000 watts of power, providing smooth, dependable power for recreation, construction, rental, and emergency use.

All Honda generators are powered by Honda four-stroke engines that make these generators among the world's quietest.  Honda generators for typical residential use average 68 -72 decibels (dB) (at rated load at 7m, average of four sides), with the Super Quiet series operating at noise levels as low as 49 dB, roughly the noise level in a private office.
