Following a review of the requirements put in place in 2016 regarding the “Improve Tracking of Workplace Injuries and Illnesses” regulation, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has taken action to correct an error that was made with regard to implementing the final rule. Advanced technologies, such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), are rapidly gaining traction on infrastructure projects around the world. A new report published today, The Business Value of BIM for Water Projects SmartMarket Report, demonstrates the industry is accelerating its implementation of BIM, a reversal of the findings of previous studies on this topic by Dodge Data & Analytics, which indicated that the water sector has been slower to embrace BIM than other sectors, such as transportation. WASHINGTON (April 25, 2018) – The Equipment Leasing and Finance Association’s (ELFA) Monthly Leasing and Finance Index (MLFI-25), which reports economic activity from 25 companies representing a cross section of the $1 trillion equipment finance sector, showed their overall new business volume for March was $9.1 billion, up 2 percent year over year from new business volume in March 2017. Volume was up 18 percent month-to-month from $7.7 billion in February.

New projects built to California’s robust energy and green building codes (CALGreen) are pre-approved for significant streamlining of fundamental LEED requirements.
