Developments are part of the program to add a total of 25 new food & beverage units to McNamara terminal

ROMULUS, Michigan (April 19, 2016) – As part of a multi-unit deal in partnership with MICCO Construction LLC, MiG Construction has built both the Eastern Market dining experience and the new Chili’s Grill & Bar at Detroit Metropolitan Airport’s McNamara Terminal. The two concessions are the latest in a major redevelopment program concerning the terminal.

The Eastern Market “gate holdroom” theme includes tastes reminiscent of Detroit’s historic Eastern Market, such as Palazzolo’s Artisan Gelato, Corridor Sausage Company and Grobbel’s Gourmet Deli. Paying homage to the Shed 5 project, the location offers a communal dining area and lounge, helping travelers get a taste of both Michigan and Detroit at the end of Concourse A.

The Chili’s Grill & Bar franchise, located in the McNamara terminal at Detroit Metropolitan Airport, offers a comfortable, sit-down dining experience in the terminal. Track lighting and overhead lamps provide a relaxed atmosphere for a fast-casual meal.

Both developments are part of the program approved by the Wayne County Airport Authority in 2014 to add a total of 25 new food and beverage units to McNamara terminal, in a bid to increase revenue generated by the terminal.
