Phillip Godding is manager of product safety and reliability—EMEA region—at JLG Industries Inc. He is responsible for supporting the region’s product portfolio on safety-related elements. Godding joined JLG in 2008 and has been influential in the development and implementation of the product safety and reliability strategy. He was one of the youngest chairmen of the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) Manufacturer’s Technical Committee, serving a 4-year term and steering a representative original equipment manufacturer (OEM) group through a number of industrywide improvements and initiatives. Godding is a Chartered Professional Engineer and holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in mechanical engineering from University of Wales, Swansea, and is a registered fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
