DALLAS, Texas (May 30, 2014) — Jackie James, director of World of Concrete, will travel to Toronto in late June to participate in a trade mission hosted by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA). The primary goal of the mission is to increase attendees and exhibitors from Canada at World of Concrete and promote the use of concrete and masonry in the commercial construction industries.

The LVCVA has conducted about 15 of these missions, specifically for trade show producers focused on increasing their international business, working with the U.S. Department of Commerce in countries such as Mexico, China, Brazil, Panama, Colombia and more.

“The International attendee has been a focus for World of Concrete for more than 10 years," James said. "Because World of Concrete attracts the latest products and technologies from around the globe, building our international attendee and exhibitor base has been a priority for us. Our show has been selected for 10 consecutive years to be part of the International Buyer Program by the U.S. Department of Commerce, and this trip is a great opportunity to continue to build brand awareness with our neighbors to the North for World of Concrete.”

World of Concrete is the construction industry’s largest annual international event for concrete and masonry professionals featuring more than 600,000 square feet of the newest products, ideas and technologies from more than 1,300 exhibiting companies.

Highlighting business skills, safety training and certifications, World of Concrete offers the construction professional a comprehensive education program that offers more than 100 expert-led sessions, interactive workshops and hands-on training opportunities.

The delegation will meet with representatives from the Canadian Commercial Services, as well as officials from government agencies, trade associations and media related to the commercial construction industry.
