Think your inbox looks scary? Think again. The U.S Department of Labor (DOL) has received more than 300,000 comments in response to its proposed changes to its federal program for apprenticeships. Many of those comments came from employees in the construction industry.

A total of 325,678 formal comments will now be reviewed by DOL officials and used in consideration of changes made to the proposed rule from June 2019. While the proposed regulation affects many industries, construction would be exempt under the new rule, at least for the time being, from the rule’s Industry-Recognized Apprenticeship Programs.
