Partnership will expand education within the construction finance industry

IRVINE, Calif., and PRINCETON, N.J. (January 15, 2014) – Sage North America, a provider of business management software and services to more than three million small and midsized businesses in Canada and the United States, and the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), an international professional nonprofit association focused on the educational needs of financial professionals in construction, today announced that Sage Construction and Real Estate will renew its partnership with the association to deliver quality, accessible, educational programs to CFMA members and to the construction industry overall.

”Our partnership with CFMA facilitates the development of timely, unique education, fulfilling the specialized learning needs of financial managers in the construction industry,” said Jon Witty, vice president and general manager of Sage Construction and Real Estate. “It is part of our commitment to providing construction and real estate companies with the resources they need to succeed and be Job Ready.”

CFMA will be converting many of its courses, previously only held live, into webinar format. CFMA’s President and CEO, Stuart Binstock, said: “As we move some of our courses from the traditional delivery mechanisms, we are very pleased that the Sage support will allow us to move to a more web-based delivery mechanism that we believe will substantially increase the exposure of some of our more popular courses and allow more people in the industry to take advantage of our educational services.”

Last year the Sage Educational Fellowship funded the development of three new educational courses for financial managers, funded CFMA educational programs and additionally expanded the Sage Educational Fellowship program. With this renewed partnership, Sage will serve as the official sponsor of all CFMA WebLive courses, which includes the online courses: The Basics of Construction Accounting, Contracts 101, Cash Management, Advanced Cash Forecasting, and the Treasury Management Series. Sage is also sponsoring three of CFMA’s Group Live Educational Courses (Chapter offered courses), The Basics, Accounting & Reporting, and Project Management.
