MADISON, Wis. (March 19, 2018) — Miron Construction Co. Inc., in partnership with Zimmerman Architectural Studios Inc., recently began work to renovate and improve the University of Wisconsin-Madison Wisconsin Institute for Medical Research.

The 13,200-square-foot renovation includes installing a new MRI unit, a new Positron Emission Tomography/Computerized Tomography (PET/CT) unit, and multiple pieces of laboratory equipment for research.

Miron’s scope of work on the $1-million project includes demolition, casework, gypsum board assemblies, acoustical ceilings, wood doors, epoxy quartz flooring, equipment installation and coordination of mechanical, electrical and plumbing requirements.

Work on the project began in March 2018 and is scheduled for completion in August 2018.
