ST. LOUIS (Aug. 20, 2025) — McClure Engineering, a St. Louis-based mechanical and electrical consulting engineering firm, hired Lisa Whealon as its new chief operating officer (COO). In her role, Whealon will lead, support and oversee the business operations of the growing mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) firm. Working closely with the firm’s CEO and chief financial officer, Whealon will provide critical input for key decisions across virtually every aspect of the business.
Having spent more than 15 years in various leadership roles focusing on people, culture and organization systems, Whealon’s experience positions her well for continued success. She held positions inside of teams in HR, marketing, sales, IT, communications and facility management.
Whealon is certified as a Developmental Dimensions International (DDI) facilitator, a StandOut Debrief coach, and a talent optimization champion through the Predictive Index. Formerly serving on the Forbes Human Resource Council, Whealon has received HR Executive of the Year through the Best in Biz awards. Currently, Whealon serves on the Society for Human Resources Management – St. Louis board.
