Social media contest will award new work boots to hardworking utility industry pros

MILWAUKEE (August 3, 2015) With summer utility work in full swing, ICUEE has launched a social media photo contest that gives the hardworking men and women of the utility industry a chance to showcase their livelihood and win a new pair of work boots.

Having dirty, “worked-in” boots is the key to entering. Any eligible individual who sends in a photo to Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #ICUEEBoots is entered in a contest to win. ICUEE will share the dirty boot photos online and at the show. For full contest rules, visit ICUEE.

The #ICUEEBoots contest is open to all utility industry workers above 18 years of age at the time of entry who are US citizens or permanent residents. To enter, participants must follow ICUEE on Facebook or Twitter, share a photo of their dirty work boots and use the hashtag #ICUEEBoots. The contest runs August 3 through August 28, 2015.

“Our goal is to showcase the important work utilities and utility contractors do every day for our communities,” said Steve Suhm, ICUEE marketing manager. “This is a fun way for contractors and other utility workers to be recognized for their work delivering electricity, gas, clean water and other vital services, oftentimes in less than ideal conditions, plus, earn a chance to win a fresh pair of boots.”

Winners will be announced on September 8, 2015. They will be awarded a $200 gift card for new work boots of their choice.

ICUEE 2015 takes place September 29 - October 1 in Louisville, Kentucky at the Kentucky Exposition Center.
