SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (Dec. 19, 2025) — The Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI) has named Greg Clauson as national transportation manager, while retaining his current title as northeast region manager.
In his expanded role, Clauson will serve as staff liaison of the newly formed Transportation Committee within the institute. He will be interfacing with state departments of transportation (DOTs), the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) as well as other concrete industry partners. This responsibility will enhance the CRSI's advocacy on market issues and leverage industry alignments nationally.
Lou Parous, president and CEO, states, "We are excited to have Greg spearhead our Transportation efforts, which pairs with the recent formation of the CRSI Transportation Committee. Greg's natural energy and enthusiasm will reinvigorate our strategic initiatives in the transportation construction sector as he interfaces between CRSI, our members, regulatory bodies, and industry partners to promote and drive home the resiliency, durability and sustainable benefits of the steel reinforced concrete framing system."
Clauson's appointment is effective immediately as he will continue to lead CRSI's Northeast regional promotion efforts and support the institute’s members, including continuing service as staff liaison to the Durability and Reinforcing Bar Fabrication technical committees.
Founded in 1924, the CRSI is a technical institute and Standards Developing Organization (SDO) that stands as an authoritative resource for information related to steel reinforced concrete construction. Serving the needs of engineers, architects and construction professionals, CRSI offers technical publications, standards documents, design aids, reference materials and educational opportunities.
