An education-packed event in Schaumberg, Illinois focuses on fleet efficiency

TORRANCE, Calif. (Sept.15, 2014)—The seventh annual Green Fleet Conference & Expo is a two-day event geared toward business owners and fleet professionals looking to increase operational and vehicle efficiency. At the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel in Schaumburg, Illinois, the conference runs from Oct. 29-30 with additional preconference events on Tuesday, Oct. 28.

From light duty to heavy duty, the Green Fleet Conference brings fleet professionals together from all spectrums of many industries to share, network and discover what companies are doing to drive fleet efficiency. Whether it’s alternative fuels or using technology to provide more transparency in fleet, there are many ways fleets can reduce their fuel use, improve driving behavior and cut overall fleet costs. In addition to two full conference days, there’s also a packed preconference day with a CNG-station field visit, a carbon-credit workshop, forums and other networking events.

The 2014 keynote speakers are Mark Smith, manager of National Clean Fleets Partnership; and John Viera, global director, sustainability and vehicle environmental matters for Ford Motor Company.

In addition to educational sessions, other events and programs at the conference include:

  • The Expo Hall – nearly six hours of expo hall time; a free exhibit-hall only pass is available.
  • Ride & Drive Event – Wednesday, Oct. 29 fasten your seat belt for the alternative-fuel Ride & Drive.
