Hoar Construction Names New Director of Business Development

TAMPA, Fla. (Aug. 3, 2026) — Hoar Construction has named Molly Moran as its newest director of business development for its Florida Division. In this role, Moran will cultivate client relationships, identify new project opportunities and drive growth across the state, building on Hoar’s established presence in the region.

Moran brings more than 13 years of construction business development experience to Hoar. She most recently served as vice president of business development at Cross Environmental Services, where she oversaw all aspects of the company’s sales strategy, client communications and pursuit pipeline. Her career has also included director-level business development roles at OHC Environmental Engineering and Biller Reinhart Engineering Group.

Moran will work to expand Hoar’s footprint across Florida by raising the firm’s profile, developing a strong local project portfolio, deepening relationships with trade partners and positioning Hoar to compete for the state’s most significant opportunities.

Moran is deeply embedded in Florida’s construction community. She has been an active member of the Society of American Military Engineers Tampa Bay Post since 2016, having served as chapter president from 2020 to 2024, earned Member of the Year honors in 2023 and served as Deputy Regional Vice President from 2024 to 2026. She is also a graduate of the Associated Builders and Contractors NexGen Leadership Program and a member of the Junior League of Tampa Bay.

Hoar continues to expand and diversify its portfolio in Florida, with over $674 million in projects completed within the state over the last five years. Last month, Hoar recently completed the four-story, 77,200-square-foot Watson Clinic Medical Office Building in Lakeland and a 34,740-square-foot office complex for the Research Park at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach. Hoar also recently broke ground on a $100 million, 804-bed student living complex near Florida State University in Tallahassee.
