Rhumbix Represents Construction Industry Via Bicycle Playing Cards Honoring Military Veteran Support

San Francisco, California (March 28, 2019)—Rhumbix, a powerful mobile platform designed for smarter construction sites, has been chosen as one of 52 veteran-owned companies and organizations to receive their own Bicycle playing card as part of the “Post 9/11 Deck of 52,” created to highlight the efforts of the post 9/11 military community in providing opportunities and support to American veterans. 

Rhumbix, which graces the Jack of Spades, is the sole representative of the construction industry. This collectible and unique playing card deck is the brainchild of former United States Army Intelligence Officer and Commander Marjorie K. Eastman, the award-winning author of Frontline Generation: How We Served Post 9/11.The deck is the follow-up to the notorious “Deck of 52 Most Wanted Iraqis” playing cards, with millions sold since its release in 2003.  

Rhumbix co-founders, Chief Executive Officer Zach Scheeland Chief Operating Officer Drew DeWalt,are both veterans of the U.S. Navy and grads of the Stanford School of Business. Since launching the company in late 2014, with the singular goal of builders, foreman, contractors and subcontractors realizing the benefits of digital data over paper documents, the pair has lent their expertise and support to a variety of organizations intended to educate and support military veterans reentering the work force. The Armed Forces connection runs deep in Rhumbix, as the idea for the company itself was inspired by military technology called “Blue Force Tracker,” a digital method of relaying information in real time on troop position, status and known threats.
