IronPlanet & Auctions America Announce Annual Fort Lauderdale Auction

PLEASANTON, Calif. & AUBURN, Ind. (March 8, 2017) – IronPlanet and Auctions America announced the joint marketing of Auctions America’s annual Fort Lauderdale event. To be held at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center on Friday, March 31 through Sunday, April 2, 2017, this annual auction will showcase automotive power and beauty for enthusiasts of all stripes. This year’s event includes collector cars previously owned by major personalities, led by a 2007 Ferrari F430 F1 Coupe that was purchased new by President Donald Trump in 2007 and Don Yenko’s personal 1970 Chevrolet Yenko Nova LT-1 Deuce Coupe.

“IronPlanet has had great success with classic cars, accelerating online bidding with our base of over 1.7 million registered users,” said Matt Ackley, IronPlanet chief marketing officer. “Classic cars are perfectly suited both to our online model and our advanced digital marketing techniques. We have evolved over the years from construction equipment to a variety of asset classes, and as with trucks, oil and gas equipment and government equipment, our events with Auctions America and other classic car partners have just gotten better and better.”

IronPlanet is offering bidders the opportunity to preview the Fort Lauderdale sale inventory, place pre-bids prior to the auction and bid in real-time on ironplanet.com during the auction days. Further, the event marks IronPlanet’s first with Auctions America to utilize IronPlanet LiveStream, the next generation in online bidding for live, on-site auctions.
