First, calculate how many holes you will need to drill. A single-gang drill is ideal for jobs ranging from several hundred to a few thousand holes. When a project moves up into the ballpark of 5,000 to 10,000 holes, a two-gang drill may be more appropriate. Looking at an even bigger job than that? Check out larger, multigang concrete drilling machine models, and consider using multiple drills to quickly achieve deadlines.

2. Consider ROI

There is a common misconception that a five-gang drill is going to be faster and more productive than a single-gang drill, but it could be overkill and more inefficient. Of course, high productivity is always a good thing, but it isn’t cost-effective to purchase a more expensive multi-gang unit when a single-gang drill is capable of doing the job to specifications and production requirements.
