BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Dec. 28, 2022) — Construction Business Owner (CBO), the leading business magazine for contractors, is pleased to announce the return of its Sustainability VIP honor, a special initiative designed to recognize the construction professionals building a better future for the earth and its inhabitants.

CBO developed the Sustainability VIP honor in 2021 as a format to help identify and highlight the industry’s foremost leaders of sustainable practices and programs. CBO’s Sustainability VIP honor is powered by nominations from professionals throughout the industry that will showcase the expertise of eligible nominees, which include all construction industry professionals — general contractors, subcontractors, manufacturers, suppliers, etc.

Nominees must have developed, launched or led programs or initiatives within their respective companies to support any of the following areas of sustainability:

• Industry and infrastructure
• Clean energy, water and sanitation
• Recycling and responsible consumption and production
• Protection of climate, wildlife and waterways
• Sustainable cities and communities
• Green building and LEED efforts
• Humanitarian efforts (poverty, hunger, equality, health, wellness, education, employment)

Anyone is able to make a nomination. To submit a nomination, visit constructionbusinessowner.com/svip2023 and complete the form. Nominations close Jan. 20, 2023.

After all nominations have been considered, the program will conclude in CBO’s March 2023 print magazine and on constructionbusinessowner.com, where the 2023 finalists will be featured.
