Combined effort to recruit workers to the industry and close the skills gap for members

DES MOINES, Iowa (August 11, 2015) – BirdDogHR, AGC of Colorado and Colorado Contractors Association (CCA), Chapters of Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) announced the creation of a new career site targeting workers for the Colorado Construction Industry.

The new Construction Careers Page is part of Build Colorado and offers an easy way for career seekers to locate and apply for jobs in the construction industry.

The new Construction Careers Page was launched on July 16. This is a no-fee service for AGC of Colorado and CCA members that will help them meet the growing workforce challenges facing the industry and the state.

“There’s a construction boom happening in Colorado,” said Michael Gifford, CEO for the AGC of Colorado. “Our Construction Careers page is helping to promote members’ jobs to interested career seekers. Plus, it plays a role in educating individuals on the viability of careers in construction.”

“The construction industry provides great security and rewarding career choices,” said Bryan May, VP of Business Development at BirdDogHR. “The opportunities that are being created by the Colorado construction boom and the retirements of Baby Boomers make for an attractive landing spot for Millennials still deciding on a career.”
